| Dr Larry Schmitz is a native of Chicago, Illinois and a Savannah resident since graduation from dental school at the University of Illinois in 1981. He and his wife Cathy have been married for 28 years and have 4 children. After being a partner in another local dental practice, Dr. Schmitz started Habersham Dental Center in 1991. He is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, immediate past president of the Southeastern District Dental Society, Savannah Dental Society and the Christian Dental Society. He is a regular volunteer at J.C. Lewis Health Center, and has participated in 13 mission trips to 6 different countries. Dr Schmitz is a graduate of Medical College of Georgia's maxi course in Oral Implantology. In his time off Larry is a volunteer firefighter on Isle of Hope, and enjoys home remodeling, running, motorcycles, and skeet shooting. |
